rare finds 2011: independent australian music at its best.

brisbane's boutique music company, rare finds, is proud to present rare finds 2011, supported by timeoff and 4zzz. this mini festival will showcase some amazing local upcoming and established independent bands at the zoo [brisbane] on december 3rd.

ultra cool electro popsters, yesyou, will be playing their first headline show. their spunky and popular debut single, 'half of it', has become one of triple j's favourite and most played songs of 2011, with dan buhagiar exclaiming, "what a brilliant song. dreamy and melodic, with a driving down the highway at dusk kind of vibe. more soon please yesyou."

so you can imagine the excitement cocooning the band, as well as fans, who get to see these guys headline.

yesyou will be joined by a bunch of stellar local favourites and some fresh rare finds discoveries. the line up includes
the belligerents, triple j unearthed winners founds, cub scouts, tin can radio, local brisbane darling kate martin, the trouble with templeton, and interstate wonders, the dead leaves, from victoria.

and if that news wasn't awesome enough, a free 13-track sampler download is available to everyone who purchases a ticket to the event. rare finds director, andrew stone explains, "the sampler is an awesome way for people, who might only know 3 or 4 of the bands playing to download all of the tracks and get them into their iPod or iTunes, and hopefully get excited for the other bands playing as well, or to discover something brand new and cool."

and it is sure to be a very cool evening of local music delights. so hurry and
buy tickets. and get some bonus free stuff.
