about

i'm nina, a lecturer in architecture from tasmania, currently based in uganda. i have an insatiable hunger for music + design + cups of tea. i am also interested in architectural phenomenology, place + regionalism, humanitarian + post-disaster/emergency design and cultural history. in a past life, i worked in independent music retail - it became a very expensive hobby. but as neitzsche said, "life without music would be a mistake."

i enjoy taking photos. they tell stories and document the details and beauty in the ordinary, the in-between and the everyday. "time stands still best in moments that look suspiciously like ordinary life." [brian andreas].

i love big things like humanity + eco-consciousness; and small things like handmade tea cups + seedpods + words + birds + dark chocolate + when cats voluntarily curl up in your lap.
